August 13, 1937 - October 1, 2019

Shane China Stubbs, also known as John Henry Stubbs, was born August 13, 1937, in the state of Georgia to Henderson Stubbs and Edna Mae Smith. Shane accepted Christ at an early age.

Shane proudly served his country enlisting in the United States Army on November 16, 1962, to and was honorably discharged February 27, 1964. He made the rank E-E1. Mr. Stubbs, unfortunately, did have some service-related disabilities.

Although Shane never married, he did have a daughter that resided in Alabama, and she had 5 children that were adopted by loving parents. He was in contact with one granddaughter, Shanette Wedgeworth of Alabama. He kept in contact with her for several years, and he also had a cousin Theresa Rahmen whom he would kept in contact with by regular phone conversations.

Shane worked as a truck driver for several years. He was said to enjoy fishing, taking walks with friends, playing pool (billiards), watching football and basketball his favorite basketball team was the Lakers. He had a fondness for hats (cowboy hats and baseball caps) and had quite the collection. He enjoyed listening to music such as Motown, blues, and gospel. He liked BB King, Aretha Franklin, Bobby Blue Bland, and Shirley Caesar as well as other various artists.   Shane peacefully passed away in his sleep on October 1, 2019. He has now joined the Lord and those who preceded him in death.   Shane leaves a host of relatives and friends to cherish his memories.
