In Loving Memory of Xavier Willis

September 17, 1966 - September 27, 2018

Xavier Anthony Van Willis was born September 17, 1966, in Los Angeles, California to Juanita and Billy Willis. Xavier was the eldest of two children. Xavier was educated in the Inglewood School District. He attended Warren Lane Elementary and later Inglewood High. He continued his formal education at El Camino College.

Xavier accepted Christ at a young age. He confessed the Lord as his personal Savior. He and his sister were reared at Bethel AME Church, in Los Angeles. He was an active member of the Youth Choir under the direction of Mr. Frank Williams, Jr.

Mr. Xavier Willis was employed for seven years at McDonald Douglas Aircraft. He followed this with twenty years of notable employment with Fed Ex Corp. There he was a truck operator. He also worked a year for the US Postal Service along the same capacity of operation.

Xavier was a great achiever in many things. He easily excelled in anything he put his mind to. He was a caring and passionate person who relished every moment with loved ones and friends. His mantra was reminiscent of Ray Charles" famous line, "Gotta Make It, Do What It Do." Xavier believed in helping others. Xavier had a sense of humor like none other, many times it was one that he alone could comprehend.
